When prioritizing your projects and planning your budget for the year, web accessibility must be one of your top priorities and an area where you direct overhead funding. Courts have ruled that nonprofit websites must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as they are increasingly considered public accommodations. But beyond legal requirements, making your website accessible to all audiences lets you open your mission to anyone who wants to be part of your cause, increasing the number of donors, volunteers, and advocates who help you achieve your goals.
