Terra Foster – Alabama State Conference of the NAACP
Terra Foster is a life member of the NAACP and serves as the first Executive Director for the Alabama State Conference of the NAACP. In her current role, Terra is responsible for fundraising and increasing the footprint of the Alabama NAACP by establishing new relationships and nurturing longstanding relationships that benefit the community and the state at large. Terra is also the Project Manager for the Alabama NAACP Gen Z program. A non-partisan program that prepares persons 18-35 years-old from Alabama to serve as Voting Rights Ambassadors to directly serve vulnerable communities by enhancing their ability to participate in the voting process.
Terra previously held dual roles for the Alabama NAACP as the State Political Action Chair and Housing Chair. She is also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., where she previously served as the South-Central Region Social Action Coordinator.
Terra is the founder and CEO of TERRA FOSTER SOLUTIONS, L.L.C, a company that provides consulting and community outreach services as well as events management and website management. In the past, Terra has worked with the Alabama House Democratic Caucus as a special- project coordinator. In this role she co-coordinated town halls and listening sessions throughout Alabama for State Legislators to engage with their constituents. Such events allow constituents opportunities to voice their concerns and to learn more about the work of their legislators.
Terra hold’s undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Human Resource Management from Troy University and Faulkner University respectively as well as a Master of Science in Justice Administration from Faulkner University.
Terra’s overall goal is to continue to nurture current and new NAACP relationships to help grow the Alabama State Conference NAACP as well as spread voter awareness and to ensure eligible Alabamians are registered to vote and are exercising their right to vote in every election cycle, not just gubernatorial or presidential elections.
