Crystal Clark-Chatman, an esteemed honoree by L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth, Daily Points of Light, and the State of Tennessee Governor’s Office, is a dedicated wife, mother of four, and certified life coach. As the visionary founder of the Beautiful Spirited Women Girls Mentoring Program, established in November 2010, Crystal has made it her life’s mission to empower young women across the world. Recognized as one of the Top Super Women in Business by the Memphis Business Journal, Crystal’s leadership extends beyond her organization. She also serves as Treasurer/Secretary for her chapter of Royal Neighbors of America and as a Digital Mentor for Peace First. A proud graduate of Lane College (Business Management) and the University of Phoenix (Master of Business Administration), Crystal is deeply passionate about helping others unlock their full potential with humility and resilience.
Under Crystal’s leadership, Beautiful Spirited Women has impacted the lives of over 65,000 girls, ages 4-18, across 14 cities and globally, providing mentorship, support, and the tools they need to succeed. The organization has hosted over 650 free workshops and community service projects, fostering positive change and empowering young women to reach their full potential. Beautiful Spirited Women has also been a powerful advocate against teen pregnancy and girl violence, with no instances of teen pregnancy among its participants. Each year, the organization provides food, clothing, and essential resources to over 200 people in need during the holidays and blesses over 200 seniors (ages 60+) with Blessing Boxes filled with perishable items.
With over 15,000 hours of community service, Beautiful Spirited Women has earned 19 prestigious leadership awards, including being named MVP Non-Profit Organization by the Memphis Grizzlies Foundation. Additionally, the organization has received the City of Memphis, Clarksville Proclamation and four-time recognition as Best Non-Profit at the Stone Awards.
Serving year-round in 14 cities and making a global impact, Beautiful Spirited Women continues to empower girls aged 4-18 and women 20 and over, providing them with the resources and mentorship to succeed. Crystal’s work extends beyond her nonprofit organization, as she has proudly served for over 22 years as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. In her personal life, she enjoys reading, bowling, journaling, crafting, traveling, and cherishing time spent with her family and close friends.
